Effective as of January 1, 2026
§1 Acceptance
By engaging DG SOUND for any service, the client agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Acceptance occurs upon:
written confirmation via email
checking the “I accept” box in a booking form
payment of a deposit or full invoice amount
Any amendments must be agreed in writing
§2 Client Responsibility & Copyright
The client confirms that they own or control all necessary rights to the materials supplied to DG SOUND.
The client guarantees that no supplied material infringes copyright, is unlawful, obscene, or defamatory, and agrees to indemnify DG SOUND against any claims, losses, or legal costs arising from breach of this clause
§3 Services Overview
§3.1 Music Production
DG SOUND may provide arrangement, programming, composition, or recording services
Typical production timeline: 7–8 working days per song, unless otherwise agreed
Payment: 50% upfront, 50% before final file delivery
Refunds: The 50% upfront payment secures production time and is non-refundable once work has begun. If both parties agree to discontinue the project before completion (for artistic or other reasons), the client is not obligated to pay the remaining 50%. All work completed up to that point remains the property of DG SOUND unless otherwise agreed in writing
Delays in client communication, feedback, or material delivery may extend the timeline. A production project may not exceed 2 months from start date unless additional time is agreed in writing
File Delivery: For Music Production-only projects, DG SOUND provides all produced tracks prior to mixing. For Music Production + Mixing & Mastering packages, DG SOUND delivers the main master (min 24-bit, 44.1 kHz), plus instrumental and acapella versions
§3.2 Sound Engineering (Mix & Master)
Services include mixing, mastering, and audio editing
Full payment required upfront before work begins
3 complimentary revisions included (minor adjustments only)
Additional revisions beyond the 3 included are charged at $40 USD per revision
Revision notes should be submitted within 7 days of file delivery
If no feedback is received within 30 days, the latest version is considered approved
The total project duration may not exceed 2 months from delivery of the first mix unless extended by written agreement. After this period, the project may be considered closed and any reopening may incur additional fees
File Delivery: DG SOUND delivers mixed or mastered files in highest quality (min 24-bit, 44.1 kHz). Upon request, files can also be provided as stems, including instrumental and acapella versions
§3.3 Recording Sessions
Services include live recording, multi-track capture, and on-site audio engineering
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking date. The session is officially reserved only after the deposit is received
An invoice for the remaining balance will be issued immediately after the session, with a 7-day payment term. Full payment must be received before any recorded files are delivered, unless otherwise agreed in writing
All recordings by DG SOUND may not be shared with third parties without prior written consent. Unauthorized distribution constitutes a material breach and may result in legal action
File Delivery & Take Selection: DG SOUND provides all recorded files in the agreed format. Take selection is at DG SOUND’s discretion based on professional experience. Clients may choose takes themselves only if they access the session directly, and all selections must comply with the agreed project deadline
§3.4 Live Sound & Equipment Rental
DG SOUND may provide live sound engineering services and professional equipment rental where agreed
For multi-day bookings (3 or more consecutive days), cancellation less than 72 hours before the event results in forfeiture of the deposit
Equipment rental terms are agreed separately per event
§4 File Delivery & Technical Requirements
All final files are delivered in the agreed format (commonly 24-bit WAV, minimum sample rate 44.1 kHz)
Clients are encouraged to provide clearly labeled and organized audio files; however, DG SOUND may perform labeling and session organization if necessary
Audio files must not be clipped or distorted unless creatively intended
MIDI tracks must be exported as audio before mixing
Final approval is required before manufacturing or distribution. Any changes requested after approval will be treated as a new paid service
DG SOUND maintains archival backups of recorded and delivered materials on secure servers. Long-term storage is not guaranteed; clients are strongly advised to securely store all delivered files. Retrieval after project completion may incur an administrative fee

For Mixing + Mastering or Mastering-only services, the client will receive master files in the following formats: Streaming (48kHz 24bit), CD (44.1kHz 16bit), Radio (48kHz 16bit), YouTube Music Video (48kHz 16bit), Vinyl Master (48kHz 24bit), DDPi (if requested)

Provision of DDP image for CD pressing requires timely submission of all necessary metadata: official song/album titles, songwriter names, ISRC codes, UPC/EAN codes, and explicit request for DDP creation
§5 Workflow & Delays
Excessive delays, contradictory feedback, repeated changes of artistic direction, or missing materials may result in:
timeline extension
temporary suspension
project termination without refund (if work has already been performed)
Projects may not remain open indefinitely. DG SOUND reserves the right to close a project after the maximum 2-month duration if client delays feedback unreasonably
§6 Payment Terms
Payments are made via bank transfer unless otherwise agreed
